Alex is currently developing I WAS A TEENAGE SEX DEMON at UCP with Eleanor Jean. They wrote and directed for the “choose-your-own-adventure” app Episode, where their teen dramas Troublemaker and Double Trouble have more than 100 million reads worldwide. Alex also works in TV production on shows like SMILF (Showtime), Mr. Corman (Apple TV+), and most recently as Associate Producer on Dead to Me (Netflix).

Alex M. Langenfeld was born in Minneapolis, MN. They received their BA in Film Studies from Columbia College Chicago. Alex went on to produce live events in New York City. They then attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts Asia, moving from Brooklyn to Singapore to pursue their MFA in Dramatic Writing.

Alex is also a winner of the 2020 Creative Screenwriting Unique Voices Competition Sports Genre Award and a Semifinalist in the Table Read My Screenplay: Austin, The Script Lab, BlueCat, WeScreenplay, Emerging Screenwriters, Outstanding Screenplays, and LA International Screenplay competitions.
