A kid at heart, ALI SCHER’s passion is telling unique and quality stories for young people and their families. She is currently writing an original feature for the Disney Channel and previously wrote the digital short Under the Sea: A Descendants Story for the network, as well as a backdoor pilot for Nickelodeon about April O’Neil from the Ninja Turtles. Ali’s directing credits include the feature film JESSICA DARLING’S IT LIST, based on Megan McCafferty’s popular tween novel (available on Netlflix), a series of shorts for DreamworksTV, the original web series CANDYLAND and numerous commercials. She received her MFA from the USC Production program where her graduate thesis THE MAIDEN AND THE PRINCESS won a student Emmy, the DGA Jury Award for Best Female Director and the USC Faculty Award for Best Director. She is also a triple threat with US/Canadian/EU citizenship (Ireland).
