BIO

Annie Hendy is the writer and star of “The Catholic Girl’s Guide to Losing Your Virginity.” The play first premiered at The Hudson Guild Theatre in Los Angeles. It next next traveled to the 2006 Cincinnati Fringe Festival, where it was chosen as both the Audience and Critic’s “Pick of the Fringe.” In addition it was nominated for two Cincinnati Entertainment Awards. Catholic Girls then performed at the Tony Award-winning Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park for a run in January 2007 In January 2008 Catholic Girls opened at the Pico Playhouse in Los Angeles for an extended twelve week run and sold out performances. Catholic Girls was most recently produced by Gary Marshall at the Falcon Theatre February 2011 in Los Angeles.

Annie wrote the TV pilot “The George Clooney Manifesto” for FOX and 2OTH CENTURY FOX, produced by director Mark Waters. SUPERGRAVITY optioned her film “Always a Bridesmaid” written by Annie & Adam Aresty. She most recently wrote the film adaptation for Rachel Rennee Russell’s New York Times Bestselling Series “Dork Diaries” for LIONSGATE and SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT.

Annie grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music where she received a B.F.A in Dramatic Performance and currently resides in Los Angeles.
