Chelsea Marcantel is an LA-based writer, director, and collaborator. She is a 2016 Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwrights Fellowship at The Juilliard School. Her plays which have been produced through the US and Canada include the Airness, Everything is Wonderful, Tiny Houses, Ladyish, and Devour. Current commissions include: Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Geffen Playhouse, Cleveland Play House, Signature Theatre DC, as well as musical projects with Broadway producers Jeffrey Richards and Stephanie Kramer . Her show CITIZEN DETECTIVE was recently up at the Geffen. Chelsea is currently writing THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS, to star Jane Krakowski, and THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS with songs by Carly Rae Jepsen. She recently won the 2021 Richard Rodgers Award. Current projects include a super secret NDA project at Disney Animation under Jennfier Lee.
