Jake Bottiglieri - Writer
BIO
Jake Bottiglieri was born and raised outside of Chicago, IL, where he spent his summers drenched in fake blood making films with his dad’s camcorder. He received his BA in Film & TV Studies from Ball State University in 2012 and his MFA in Screenwriting from the AFI Conservatory in 2015, where he was the recipient of the David Pincus Memorial Scholarship. His writing has won numerous awards, including the Lew Hunter Award for Screenwriting Excellence and a Humanitas nomination. Bottiglieri has also been a finalist at Slamdance, and has won the Spurs Award for Best Western at the Westfield Screenwriting Awards twice. A fan of all things pulp, his work generally centers around character-based stories with a genre slant.
