JB Ballard - Writer

BIO

JB Ballard is an LA based screenwriter who hails from all over the US – twelve states in total, but who’s counting. After graduating from DePaul University in Chicago with a BA in Film and Television, he started his career on projects for Disney-ABC and Showtime such as CODE BLACK, SMILF, STATION 19, HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, and THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT. His first turn in the writers’ room was on SHAMELESS and he’s since worked on both Marvel Studios’ Emmy-winning MOON KNIGHT event series and the Emmy-nominated Starz political drama GASLIT. Most recently, JB was staffed on Marvel Studios’ animated show X-MEN ’97, co-writing an episode for its inaugural season and currently working on Season 2. When he’s not writing, he’s adding to his personal collection of vintage comics, cult movies, and video games.
