Jelena Woehr is a bisexual neurodiverse Big Tech-escapee-turned-writer. She has worked under Marissa Mayer, led teams on three continents, participated in ByteDance’s first US acquisition, and even left her mark on the world of social media by naming the infamous TikTok “For You” page. Jelena has since written numerous shorts for Disney Digital, as well as an animated nonfiction Disney+ YouTube series, Disney+ Deets. Her sci-fi retelling of the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, KATABASIS, is currently in development with Cobalt Knight. She has won a Stowe Story Labs fellowship, placed first among one-hour pilots in the Junior Hollywood Radio & Television Society’s screenwriting contest, and won Best Crime/Mystery/Thriller Pilot in the ISA’s Fast Track competition. Her work for Disney Digital won two Webby Awards, including Best Writing. Jelena is also a podcaster, LSAT instructor, and national-level competitor in 100-mile horse races.
