Joe Curnutte - Writer / Performer
BIO
Joe grew up in the cornfields of the Midwest with his Ma, Pa and two sisters. After spending time as a two sport athlete in college, he made his way to New York City and resides there with his beautiful wife Emily Danger where he works as a writer and performer. Joe is a founder of the critically acclaimed theater company The Mad Ones who are currently developing their hit play, Miles for Mary, at Warner Media as well as adapting Joshua Ferris’ book Then We Came to the End as a limited series with Filmnation and Archer Gray.
Joe also co-wrote and starred in The Mad Ones’ plays Mrs. Murray’s Menagerie, The Essential Straight & Narrow and Samuel & Alasdair: A Personal History of the Robot War – all NY Times Critic’s Picks. The Mad Ones are now in residence at Signature Theatre.
Recent actor-type stuff includes Law & Order: SVU, Blue Bloods, The Blacklist, The Other Two, The Get Down, Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption II and on stage as the lead in the NYC Premiere of Will Eno’s GNIT.
