Marissa Strickland - Writer / Director / Actor
BIO
Marissa Strickland is a writer, actor and director from Los Angeles, but also spent portions of her childhood in Spain, Hungary, and the suburbs of Ventura County. She loves grounded bittersweet comedy, where joy and laughter sit right next to sadness and loss.
In 2021, Marissa released Give Me a Sign, a short film about loss, hope and meaning. Before that, she created Pappy, a comedic web series about her experience trying to connect with her eccentric father.
Marissa graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Anthropology. She regularly performs at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Her recent credits include ABC’s Black-ish, HBO Max’s Tig n’ Seek and Mailchimp’s Trade Show Show.
