PHINNEAS KIYOMURA - WRITER
BIO
Phinneas Kiyomura is a screenwriter, playwright, actor, director and painter and grew up in various parts of Southern California. Before he was officially writing he placed third in Klasky Csupo’s Script Writing Competition. Since then, he has had plays produced at various theatres in Los Angeles and taken part in Film Independent’s Screenwriters Lab (2006). LA Weekly has called his work, “tough, and cruelly funny… with an honesty that might be called full frontal“ and VARIETY called him “an impressively original voice“.
He loves the Sopranos, the plays of Harold Pinter, the movies of Woody Allen, Akira Kurosawa, Ingmar Bergman, Mike Nichols, and Robert Altman, and the ghosts of Ghostbusters (he would give anything to work with Bill Murray). He lives in Los Angeles with his actor/chef wife and their future president daughter.
