Sedrissia Veal is a Los Angeles based writer with roots that extend to both Ohio and Mississippi. One of five children born to a Pastor and a Clinical Trainer, her reserved nature and innate curiosity left her to make her own sense of the world. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, she nudged her respectable Child Studies degree aside to head out to Los Angeles and give the entertainment industry a go. She earned a Professional Certificate in Writing for Television from UCLA in 2019 and immediately began developing projects for television. Currently, she works as a writers’ assistant on OUR KIND OF PEOPLE, while remaining committed to telling coming of age narratives of sheltered outcasts finding the courage to use their voice.
