Growing up with a bedroom window looking out on H.P. Lovecraft’s grave, Zoe Katzen long suffered chronic nightmares. Rather than shying away from her nightly terrors, Zoe now dives into the haunted, macabre, and otherworldly with wonder and excitement. Infusing her stories with ghosts, dark magic, and demons, both human and otherwise, Zoe uses horror to inspire courage and healing. A MFA graduate of LMU, she was the recipient of the School of Film and Television’s Outstanding Screenwriting Award and has since collaborated with Cannes-nominated and Oscar-shortlisted directors. Among many other projects, she is currently developing a Medieval-set ensemble series, exploring the unsettling and paranoiac measures the Church took to eradicate pagan witchcraft in an effort to claw society out of the supposed Dark Ages.
